Hi Guys,
By taking advises here, I just bought a 342 caliber bumber. Now Im planning to buy this Geneve 613 caliber.
COndition looks fine. I searched for the caliber but couldnot find enogh information. Instead I want to ask to you, your advises and feedback about the below watch. Do you think the mechanism is original? Any ideas if the dial is redialed or not? it is ok to pay 550usd for this one?
Thanks in advance,
Erkan

Hi Erkan,

I’m not an expert on movements but is there a screw missing just above the O in ‘Omega'? Shouldn’t be a big job to replace if is missing and not just in shadow.

Here’s a photo of one I used to own to compare. The 613 has a date quickset function and is a reliable movement and comparably easy and inexpensive to service.

That apart, the rest of the watch looks good; hands, face, case and bracelet, and the price is pretty fair too.

The bracelet is a bonus and I’d be pretty sure it’s not a redial.

Thank you very much Spurce, nice catch for the screw😀 But does that mean that there is something wrong? although Ive been told that its perfectly timekeeping, can this screw cause a problem or as you said its not a big job? Should I worry I mean?

What's missing is a screw and the tiny metal plate that hold in the movement in place.

As stated above, the case has been polished beyond recognition. These used to have nice, sharp edges. Yes, it does come with a (also heavily polished) BoR bracelet, but I'd pass at that price point.

@dsio regularly posts potentially good deals and later Genèves occur very frequently.

Half the value of the watch comes from the wrong 1039 bracelet clasp plate 😀

On top of it all, the dial is damaged between 11 and 12. I would most definitely also stay away. That case is gone.

There should be a buckle photo, and inner clasp, $200+ of the value comes from the bracelet, I believe the endlinks could be not-original, but there were unmarked 11 endlinks as well, the outer shape of the endlink is good but the inner part looked a bit weird to me

These are the indicators of a complete bracelet, depending on your wrist size extra links might not matter and sometimes some bracelets have different configurations I believe

I'm not an expert on BORs but if the bracelet checks out it seems like a fair price. However, those end links look strange to me.

Those Endlinks aren’t original.
just to learn, how did you understand that they are not? thanks
