I'd like to share with you my newest AT, which is the watch I have always wanted.

Reference 231.10.42.21.03.001, commonly known as the 41.5mm Skyfall.

I've always been a sucker for blue dial watches but never found "the one" until now. I set out to find it in mint condition with original box, cards and paperwork. After a lot of searching, patience and coin, it's finally mine.

I figured I'd celebrate my 200-post milestone with a tribute to it, as this is going to be my special and most favorite watch of all.

It‘s a beauty! Mine says hi. I am always flashed again when taking it out after a few weeks/months. Ranks high in my „if there was only one to keep“…

Disclaimer: it‘s the 38.5mm version.

Congrats on 200, now let’s see what you came here to sell 😉

And you only have 800 more until you have to buy all the members with 10k+ a Speedmaster….better get savin’.

Not to be too lawyerly, but in the interest of accuracy, is it a single Speedmaster for all of those members to share (which could be what your phrasing implies) or does each member in that elite group get a Speedmaster? I mean, this guy deserves to know.

I was not aware of this requirement. I guess I better get busy in the buy and sell threads!

What a beauty. Congrats and enjoy being unshackled.
@Poppyboy try not to be post farming your way to 200 with a heap of one sentence replies or you’ll find you remain shackled even after 200 posts.

Is there a rule that precludes one-sentence comments?

I was a moderator on a Honda forum for quite a while when I was much younger. I can't speak to how it is here EXACTLY, but the community is only as good as the protections that can be offered its members (if it includes Private Sales). Think of it as the application of an ethical measurement like GAAP and IFRS contain (if you're familiar with accounting standards).

If the rule states "no post farming" that leaves a lot open to interpretation, but I don't know why you would assume short responses couldn't fall under that category.

I saw it as a friendly warning-- considering I'm also a new member, I'll choose to take it to heart as well- I'm frankly glad that Forum moderators are watching out for post content, because if I ever choose to purchase here I'd want to know that there was SOME sort of awareness.

There isn’t but people who post farm don’t get access to the classified section ever, so there’s that

I make no assumptions at all and need not justify my participation in the various topics. If my posts are in violation of any rules, I’ll leave that to the moderators to determine. I’ve never even heard of the term “post farming” until all the helpers came out.

It sounds like you don't have anything to worry about, then. When it comes to private sales on forums, The moderation staff really doesn't have a great way to vet people through the internet they don't personally know, except through posts. There just isn't any flat metric that can be applied.

FWIW, I just chimed in to offer a bit of clarification to the response you received. I'm also new here, so when I said I would take the comment to heart I meant that.

I appreciate the measured response. I’m just not used to folks making assumptions about me on forums (Xbimmers, Range Rovers.net, MB World, Bring a Trailer).

What's your handle on MBWorld and what section are you in? I'm mostly in the W212 section, also in W203, W211 and now in W204

Nice. I was on e90post years ago, had an 08 335i for a while. Loved that car. Before that I built a number of K series honda motors (hence my time as a honda forum moderator). What's your ride?
