·Well, It's a taken a little over a year but this is my 200th post! I'm really enjoying OF and have learned a lot in the past year. Most importantly I've changed the direction of my collection to buying and wearing watches that I really love. I've realized that I really prefer dressier watches whether I have a reason to wear them or not. For years I chased after Omega and Rolex sport models but often found them too large and uncomfortable on my wrist. The good news is that it was easy to sell those pieces and that they had increased in value nicely for the most part.
Today I'm wearing a watch that has become a favorite, an Omega Constellation reference 14381 from 1961 that I purchased from the sales forum:
It's the least expensive watch that I've purchased in years and I really love it!
In the past year I also purchased a watch that amazes me, a French-cased Omega Chronometre from the 1940s in 18k pink gold. I love the history of the Omega Chronometres from the 40s, a time when they were producing movements that were as high quality as anybody in the industry including Patek. Here it is:
I'm proud to be a member here at OF and plan to learn and contribute for years to come.
