I appreciate the measured response. I’m just not used to folks making assumptions about me on forums (Xbimmers, Range Rovers.net, MB World, Bring a Trailer).
Don’t worry, all kind of assumptions were made about me when I joined (including being big-agra of posts)- I was just excited to be here. Now they say it to my face.

What's your handle on MBWorld and what section are you in? I'm mostly in the W212 section, also in W203, W211 and now in W204
Same handle-Poppyboy. I hang in the R230 section. Love the W211!

Nice. I was on e90post years ago, had an 08 335i for a while. Loved that car. Before that I built a number of K series honda motors (hence my time as a honda forum moderator). What's your ride?
Very cool. Check out Legit Street Cars on YT. Alex loves the 335i and currently has a C-class with a K-swap. He’s a cool guy and lives 30 mins from me. I’ve got an SL55 AMG and 996TT. What about you?

Well, I almost hate to admit this but after two kids, I currently just have a pair of CRVs. I'd like to get the boys into auto- they're still quite young but help with oil changes, tire rotations, &c. Haven't had to do anything major in years, but I'd like to pick up a 1997 NA1 to rebuild eventually.

My dad built Porsche 912s when I was growing up, so I'd like to continue that with my children if I can. I've built out and rebuilt all sorts of odds and ends, and don't really have anything against any particular car company or brand (except for the CVT Nissans, those can flip right off)

Yeah, the 335i is a fantastic machine. Mine was Monaco blue with a saddle interior. absolute fire. I sometimes miss driving it, but sold it when I moved from Tucson to Houston. Probably more than that I miss my 06 civic Si, which I'd built out with a TSX K24 long block. It had some very serious HP to size, but I doubt at this point in my life I'd find the ride particularly comfortable (although I never went for the "rice" look and kept things pretty understated even in those days).

A C-class with a K-swap? wut?

Nice on the AMG, I've got a friend who absolutely adores his and it's a nice car- for a Mercedes. 😜

Join the Subie gang and get a WRX or STI. Fits two car seats and gets good smiles per gallon. 👍

I'm currently living in Washington State so to be honest, this seems totally inevitable. My 5 year old is actually obsessed with the current STI, Every time we see one he points it out.

Hopefully you can start the boys young with tinkering. It’s definitely the thing that makes for wonderful childhood memories! I DIY everything. Part of the knowledge base is what I learned from my father. The other, of course, is from YouTube and forums!

Absolutely. They have learned quite a bit of house related stuff- they "helped" tile in a kitchen & bathroom and with redoing baseboards, installing wood floor, and some odd painting. My 5yo (the other is 2) also helped build his bunk bed in our new home. Hopefully soon I can expand into other good skillsets everyone should probably have!

I'd like to share with you my newest AT, which is the watch I have always wanted.

Reference 231.10.42.21.03.001, commonly known as the 41.5mm Skyfall.

I've always been a sucker for blue dial watches but never found "the one" until now. I set out to find it in mint condition with original box, cards and paperwork. After a lot of searching, patience and coin, it's finally mine.

I figured I'd celebrate my 200-post milestone with a tribute to it, as this is going to be my special and most favorite watch of all.

Great find. I have the same watch. Purchased in 2013. I wear it 90% of the time. I rarely take it off. 10 yrs and it runs perfectly and looks exceptional. Its part of me and adore it.

Back to the original topic of the thread, I have to agree that this is an incredibly handsome watch. The tone of blue is pretty close to perfect when I comes to something on the dressier side. The more I see these the more I wonder...

Hope @EuroDriver is doing well! I haven't seen him active in a while.

Thanks everyone! I'm still alive and still own this AT. Planning on holding on to it permanently.

I've been crazy busy at work and haven't had much free time to toil around the forum here
