It’s an antique/flea market that a few house clearance People do
If he had asked I would have told him it was genuine
As it was he said do you want this copy for £20 I said yes
You cannot be the buyer and the seller
I have bought an early 1171 of roughly the day date

You must have a good pokerface! I wouldnt have been able to hide my excitement

Congrats on an amazing score!

Could you get over this problem by obtaining another dust cover and filing the dimple down to relieve the additional pressure?

This would put a hole in the cover.

This would put a hole in the cover.

20 quids!!!

I think Martin Amis mentions "twenty quids and Trafajar square" in London Fields.

That watch is a great find...you only need something like that to happen once in a lifetime to feel good every day!

Best deal I have been part of (helping a friend) was a Patek 3700/1 for Tiffany, bought by him on ebay at 2800USD. It passed through my hands as I received it and sent to him.

Now sold at 150k

I can beat that
Pre production seadweller bought for £1000 I took it to Rolex st James and they said there was something wrong as it pre dated the release of the seadweller and wouldn’t service it so I put it on eBay and it sold for £4200 to a collector in Italy who sold it last year for over 300,000 Swiss francs
