Well, it鈥檚 an interesting find. The dial is from a Mark II, the hands aren't original either. I wish I could find stuff like this 馃憤

Edit to add: I can鈥檛 stop looking at this. Did the previous owner try to polish off the right side of the case? The bottom right lug looks almost completely gone compared to the bottom left.

Great find! Congrats 馃憤

Funny how many Speedmasters with mkII hands/dial are out there. Must have been a pretty common swap back in the days.

Let's hear the price 馃槑

Can see why the seller thought it may have been a copy given the hands and dial.
Good pick up 馃憤

I've had finds like this in my other hobbies sometimes (antique guns especially), but I must be hitting the wrong flea markets for watches.

Good snag!

Really curious about the price,

looks like 516 end links?

Please share pictures of the inside later

I think @Scarecrow Boat is right about the case condition of the right case side

Great find! Congrats 馃憤

These are the finds...and I'm holding my breath for the price....I'm betting less than the price of a pair of 516's 馃嵖

I didn't even see the flipped end link and reasoned that it had to be a poorly fitted aftermarket bracelet. It looks like an Omega flat link bracelet with correct end links to boot 馃グ

Great find. Othing wrong with a mk2 dial in a Pro case for a daily beater. Especially when all your costs (and probably more) are covered by the bracelet.

Well done.

It鈥檚 dated 72 so I guess the watch will be the same date
I鈥檒l take the back off when I get home

It cost 拢20
All I need now is a dial and hand set
Any idea?
I think I鈥檒l sell the bracelet it鈥檚 too small for me and put a vintage 1171 on it

Some people have all the luck. Even if you sent that off to Omega for refurbishing, you'd still come out ahead. Very nice pick up!

It鈥檚 a 1039
I would need 6+ links to fit my fat wrist
I think I will sell and buy a period 1171
And source the correct dial
