Wow, Clinton Skydiver on ebay sold for $1442. With rust issues and frozen movement. Impressive!

Clinton Watch Co was a US company, based in Chicago Illinois.
Mikrolisk shows a trademark registration date of 1933.

They bought a few companies over the years, including Benrus.
You can find out more about the company at this link: http://hampdenwatches.blogspot.it/

Here's what I have gathered on the Clinton brand. Would love to learn more!

The Clinton Watch Company was founded in 1922 in Switzerland by a immigrant Russian Jew named Wein. The company was passed down from father to son for several generations and was a major manufacturer of quality Swiss timepieces through the 1950's.

From what I've gathered on the Skydiver:

Early 1960s model
Powered by Valjoux 92
37mm
Cased in stainless steel
Comparable to a Croton Nivada Grenchen with longer beveled lugs, simpler dial, and thinner bezel.

Here's a side by side I found on Instagram:

I have the Clinton World Timer Diver watch, which has proven to be phenomenal buy at about 30 bucks. It has a retro cushion solid stainless steel case with a 25J movement. My wife and I recently took her grandfather's watch to a local watchmaker, and I happened to be wearing the Clinton watch that day. I showed it to the watchmaker and he informed me that they have all tend to have Swiss movements. The watchmaker was employed as an Omega technician at one time and stated that a watchmaker friend of his cased Clinton watches years and years ago in NYC. I think its a true "sleeper brand" with some pretty sweet finds. This is the first time that I have seen the Skydiver. The red and white calendar watch is also something special.

I agree with @Archer about the rust on the movement ,I am not a professionnal watchmaker, but I have made some gambles on this kind of watch and mostly I had good surprises (even if I had to change pieces). The V92 parts and not very hard to source at reasonnable prices.
Here is a Yema V92 saved from nowhere : (275° and +12sec on the timegrapher, beat error 0.7ms, not so bad!) :
