Really? Are you saying I can find a Solid gold cased Omega seamaster De Ville automatic for £500-£750 GBP? I'd be happy to see some!

I bought this SMDV, in 9crt gold for about £350. Granted the dial is urmmm....tropical? and the movement needs a service. But they are out there!

The first giveaway for redials is the A in Swiss Made. The point of the A should be cut like in your first example.

Amazing, I didn’t know this.

I’ve been checking my vintage Geneves with my magnifying glass - phew!

Ok thanks. I have to say I personally wouldn't look at this example for more than a second even if it was less than gold scrap price. Now the question is would the rediallers get this looking like new? (which worries me if this is where they start from!)

I am sure lots wouldnt either. But original dials can be picked up relatively easily for less than £100 and they will have to be serviced either way, but especialy with a dial like that, it is a gamble (and not something I would really advise)
