First time buyer of Vintage Watches

Hey all,

Have been doing a fair bit of reading into vintage watches and have narrowed it down to a few (potential) ebay buys, from reputable sellers with 100% feedback.

1) ~1980's Omega De Ville Watch, Calibre 625.


2) Omega Watch, Calibre 600, 1960's or so.

Would appreciate any comments/feedback, as this is my first time!

They are both refinished and don't resemble what they used to look like before repainted. And that is just the problem with the dials. This seller is not recommended here. 👎

These are the same people that bring us 420...

Hey there! Glad you came here first, as the eBay market is full of sellers who make a quick buck by presenting pieces like this.

Find out what your preferences are, set a budget, and think about the potential servicing cost, as you will need to factor that on top of the final price. You can easily buy a working mechanical chronograph for $200, only to find that a service to get it running well for the next 3-5 years will set you back $400.
