If they did these with a satin-brushed finish I'd definitely buy one. That high polish puts it in a different category for me.

It’s the case. Just a little too shiny. 😀
yes 904L polished steel is too shiny for me
i applied this on case and bracelet every now and then, to makes a little dull
you may or may not like it though

If you take the time to learn, a vintage Rolex will always give you more pleasure and value and watch for your money than the new Rolexes. And there won't be a shortage/backlog of them. You chose well for you wife's gift. I've always liked the dressier quality of the Yacht Master over the Sub...and I like this vintage Yacht Master much more than the new one. This Tudor Sub will be on my wrist tomorrow.
