Having enjoyed the forum, its high time to contribute. Here is a recent find in a Colorado backwater. My first Kontiki but now the fever is running hot and the search is on for more. The GF bracelet is marked 1 58 and based on serial comparisons I believe this is a first series - untouched.

Cool. What is the case size?
Thank you for the feedback. The case is 36.5mm. It wears well and the GF bracelet is smooth and comfortable. I have to admit to wrapping the case in a clear watch protector - only the the paranoid survive.

Thanks - it was sitting in a case of Invictas and other nonsense at a pawn shop. I bought a decent Seamaster from them a few months back and dropped in on the off chance. Tried to find out something about the seller but they would tell me much. The vintage gods smiled that day.

Lakewood, Colorado is as backwater as it gets. It will take more than a Kontiki find to make it a tourist destination. In other words - a forsaken hole in the ground.
