Hi all!

I bought a vintage Omega a few days ago. Caliber 285
The seller told me that it is a very rare (tapestry black dial). I bought this watch because it looks good at this price.
I paid 650 €

Your expert opinions would help me a lot.

Does anyone see traces of black paint on the indexes and some misalignments along the seconds track?

Would factory original paint flake like this?

The flaking would worry me less than the paint on the indices. My vote would be original dial, repainted in black.

I think it’s a good buy - the black repaint honestly I think not a possibility, given the Omega script and Swiss Made in original conditions. To close the presentation, perhaps an image of the movement and the inside back could have been good. Flaking was very frequent, see the Royal Oak 5402 and Nautilus 3700 dials - flaking in many samples.
