Truth is, all Speedmasters really only wear as large as their bezels. The Pro case is 42mm but the bezel is closer to 39-40. There's not much visual difference, size-wise, between a vintage straight-lug and a Pro - and even the modern Dark Sides wear much smaller than their 44mm size. My advice would be to go try it on next to a regular Pro and see which one speaks to you more.
A FOIS looks and feels smaller IMO. For us with narrow wrists it is also good know that it is slightly shorter lug to lug even though it is not by much. I tried on both side by side before deciding for the FOIS. The FOIS looked great while the regular one was out of the question. All four people present including the sales guy felt the same way which should count for something.

Worth pointing out however is that most watches looks a bit neater with a strap rather than a bracelet.

I don't have any speedy yet, but I think the FOIS might be the one for me. I know they made their reputation with the Moon Watch. However, they were on astronaut wrists before they were on the moon. I can just picture those guys riding around in their fast cars and timing themselves on the tachymetre before heading off to training.

Here's mine #41XX. Added to the stable about a month ago - immediately swapped the leather with the OEM nato. My FOIS is getting more use than all the others right now!

Have been thinking about the FOIS for quite some time, so during my recent trip to SE Asia I spotted this one at a Tokyo AD with a serious discount, and I could not resist (watch/box pic on top of a MWO page, hope it's OK):

I also wanted to keep the original strap intact, so after checking out several MWO pics and many contributions from OF members regarding their straps (thank you !!) I decided to get a Hirsch:

Very happy with the results:

Now the search begins for a cal 321 Moon Watch. Thank you OF, Speedmaster101, MWO for the enjoyable Speedy journey.

Love all the pics in this thread. This is one of my favorite releases as of late. Really a gorgeous watch between the alpha hands and stick chrono.

Does anyone have a picture of this watch on a light colored strap? Tan, beige, yellow or anything like that? Just curious what it would look like.
