Pic from Fratello:

Datum, so hot. Even tho missing the matching second hand (which I don't really mind because it corresponds to the Hour and Minute hands) and missing the see through caseback, but still stunning

I just don't get the second hand. Why didn't they stay true to the original. Especially with their comparison picture on the homepage. It was already a problem with their first release.
Otherwise I really like it.

“Beneath the brand new hesalite-like form sapphire crystal”

It looks like they’ve finally figured out the white milky ring issue on the Speedy crystals…

So the big question for me is... will the bracelet on this new FOIS fit the older FOIS.

Im currently rocking my FOIS with the 321 Ed White bracelet and Forstner endlinks. But it would finally be nice to have a full OEM setup.

Looks gorgeuos, I like almost every detail on this new FOIS.
Maybe it's time for its own new thread?

Eve Eve
holy moly, soleil dial 😲
Cool feature. I did not notice this until you pointed it out. The Fratello article has good pictures of it as well.

Lovely take on the FOIS — if I didn’t own the OG, which seems oddly to go unmentioned in this release — would likely be a buyer.

But mine runs beautifully, has been a faithful companion for 4 years, and I don’t really mind the crystal. We shall see, I guess.

But always great to see a new variant that gets so many details right. Kudos!

I really like it a lot but the price is rather high, but I like it, but the price is high, but the dial is blue 🤩. I remember paying €3,000.00 for my FOIS at the Bangalore airport duty free on March 13th 2020 before the world shut down.

I don't know. It's obviously a beautiful watch, but I still have a real aversion to faux patina. I'm probably a curmudgeon, but the blue-grey dial is just mimicking a dial that has seen UV rays over decades. Not to mention the creamy orange lume. It's like buying a modern car with single stage paint that they have created a paint technique to create the illusion surface panel rust so it looks old. This recent trend says a lot about our culture and the lack of any patience. The domed sapphire crystal seems like a tech breakthrough though.

Obviously everyone is free to like what they like and spend their money on what they want. I just wish this wasn't such a popular trend.

As an owner of the previous FOIS, I remember I bought it in 2020 for 3k euros.
Regarding the model i own, I love that it is a numbered edition – somehow looks unique to my eyes and I also prefer the back case which is beautiful and more detailed in comparison with the new one...
I like the unusual blue dial of the new one, on the other hand not the faux patina. I feel I wouldn’t pay too much money.

Nice, but not a grail watch. I think I prefer my white dial. And I still really want a Snoopy....

I really dig the release. The grey/blue dial really sealed he deal for me, but want to see it in person and hopefully it is as distinctive as in the stock photos. I also own the EW and previous FOIS, so part of me is also thinking is it distinct enough for me to add this to the collection. I heard Omega may be releasing another speedy this year, luckily this is not limited, so waiting can't hurt.

I like it a lot. Even the “fauxtina”. I often dislike it but Omega does a swell job where it’s easy enough to forget that it’s faux patina, and just some nice warm hues. Tudor’s vintage gilt elements, on the other hand, are hard to think of as anything but faux.

They are super rare but Omega did produce Speedy’s with a Soleil dial so not an aging thing.

I think it looks fantastic. Even though I have a FOIS already I may look into adding this next year when my birthday rolls around...love the dial and domed sapphire.
