·This really kills off my want for the EW321.
If this new one is an acceptable substitution for a 321, go for it, and you save $7,500. But will you be satisfied in the long run? Really satisfied?
Given the fact that I'll never be able to get one from my OB and can only get GM now, yes I would be. I know I can easily get one now on C24 but my desire for paying over retail or spending that much on a watch has decreased quite a bit.

So the big question for me is... will the bracelet on this new FOIS fit the older FOIS.
Surely that argument could be made to ask 321 owners if they are truly satisfied with a facsimile of the real thing. The 321 doesn’t have the monopoly on retro cool.
That argument could be made, but you are assuming that anything less than a vintage Ed White is second class. I've been collecting watches for over 40 years and have had many vintage watches, along with the headaches of finding unmolested examples and getting them properly serviced. The new 321 Ed White stands on its own, it can be worn everyday and I don't have to worry about it getting damaged. I know Omega will service it for longer than I have left on earth. Of course the 321 has no monopoly on cool. This new model is a great effort, and if looks is the prime motivator it is a good option. They are two different watches playing to two different markets, there are enough customers for each, probably far more in the FOIS camp due to pricing. No problem there, everybody has to balance desires and budgets.
Anyone else ashamed of owning the 2012 FOIS now that the new version is out?
