After agonizing over the choice for months I finally pulled the trigger. Picked up a new 43.5 8900 Planet Ocean from an AD in my area. It has turned out to be the heaviest watch I have ever worn and strangely the most comfortable.

Excellent choice! I love wearing my PO as well. Great watch with a nice heft to it.

I was on the fence about black. I loved them both but the blue is so much darker in person it just suited me to a "t". When I got it the weight really threw me off, I had only tried one on in person briefly at a boutique. I received it this Tuesday and have only taken it off today on the way to a job site. Now the weight is the thing I like most about, so comfortable and solid.

Congratulations on your new PO! You are going to love how that blue changes colors depending on the lighting.

Yeah, that is the freakiest thing about the blue... it can be almost dark gun blue inside, almost black. Very cool.

Congrats!!! Yes, the 43.5 is tall, heavy, and for some reason just sits into the wrist perfectly. Enjoy!
