Hi I´m Robin Israel, Master Watchmaker from Germany and repairing a lot of Omega watches.
I learned watchmaking at Omegas N.G. Hayek watchmaking school, worked in Pforzheim in Omega´s Chronograph Group and, after leaving, opened my own workshop - Omega Certified.
So I asked myself very often, why the hell I´m not a member here in this Forum - and finally fixed this issue.

Hi!

---

P.S.
perhaps this is interesting for you, the article is not yet finished, but I hope to find the time soon - juggeling many projects at the moment.

Welcome Robin.
It's good to have another professional watchmaker on the forum, especially when amateurs like myself often need expert guidance.

Hi. Great piece, too.

Would love to hear some stories about restorations or interesting cases you've worked on.

Hello Robin 😀

I am one of your customers. I haven’t sent a watch to you in a while but I plan to do so in the near future.
For feedback: I have been sending most of my watches to him and always have been satisfied 👍 He is a fantastic watchmaker - especially with Speedmasters.

Glad to have you on the forum!

Thank you all for the warm welcome, and please excuse my late reply. I was very pleased to read your messages.

@la_lusigne and @JimJupiter, it is good to see you here. Thank you for your trust and the kind words.

@Aurelius, I would be happy to share some workshop stories. I could start with a Speedmaster Mark II case-refinishing job from my archive. I have before-and-after photographs showing the case surfaces and edges, which should make an interesting comparison. I will put it in a separate thread here in Watchmaking when it is ready.

Best regards from Oppenheim,
Robin
