Unorthodox indeed! Don't try this at home! Your results may vary! Watch opened by a professional on a closed course!

That serial number puts movement production in the 1951-52 range. 馃憤
The alternative was to dump it in flee bay.
Superglue makes sense. Acetone remove any remains and the torque you achieve is enormous.
It would hurt to let something nice as this slip due to a stuck case back.......
51-52. I could live with that!

I went to a vintage camera and watch sale this weekend. Found this JLC in my price range. Ticks good, needs to go in for a service and cleanup, but I think I did pretty good for my first LeCoultre. If there are any experts who see something wrong, please let me know. Always good to learn what I missed.

I have one of these. Health to wear馃憤

Sorry for bringing up this topic once more... But, I was searching how to find the production year of Jaeger from the serial number? I thought this would be as simple as with Omega, but no.

After some searching on the web and OF, I came across this topic.

Does anybody had an idea where to find such table? Or when the serial number 1887884 with cal. 883 was produced? Thanks!
