·Short story: my husband went mad since I offered him a nice vintage Omega watch, which I naïvely believe to be authentic ( and according the seller who is a reliable one). So, yesterday he went mad again with a RADO DiaStar he bought straight away. I know nothing - or almost nothing - BUT I have understood - thanks to this forum - that you can't trust everyone concerning watches.... Immediately began my research, immediately I found that India is/was a huge production site of fake RADO DiaStar, with chinese mouvements, and that if he got an authentic RADO we should go directly to Las Vegas for the week-end...! The seller -kind of honest, though,- mentionned the caliber is a 2813-2. If I had had ten second BEFORE he paid the watch, I could have said " stop!"! But no, it was a mythic, iconic watch and so on.... Today, can you confirm that ETA 2813-2 caliber is a chinese movement, and my husband had his first lesson in watch hunting ? Ha! Ha!. ps: I found the dial suspicious too at first sight...
