Finally found my dream JLC Reverso Duo

Hi all,

I wanted to share a couple photos of my latest watch acquisition, and it's one that I spent a good deal of time searching for over the past several months. I became enamored with the JLC Reverso Duo long ago and really fell for the first edition created in the mid-1990s. The elegance, class and overall design aesthetics are just breathtaking. I finally found the model at a decent price earlier this week and am now the proud owner of the 270.8.54 model, as it arrived today. It's been worn some, but what watch hasn't that's 23 years old? Overall, it's in great shape. I'm over the moon.

I also have the exact same model. Congrat man 😀 Good purchase!
I really love mine too. Can you please pm me the price you paid for it, if it is not confidential? I have no idea how much these are selling for nowadays.

Mine says hi. One thing ... these are scratch magnets so be wary of door frames etc. Every collection should have at least one!

Congrats! Love the way the night side has developed a charming patina.

The 270.8.54 was my first Reverso as well, and one I still enjoy wearing a lot. I love the blued hands in particular.

Agreed on the blued hands. It is perhaps the most fun watch I have ever owned. I can't decide which side I like better. It's still wild to think the Reverso was a sports watch 80+ years ago.

Its the shape...It takes a while to get used to. If no one was buying them JLC wouldn't be making them. I bought mine new primarily because I needed to see it in the metal and try it on. As soon as I did I was hooked.

I’ve been to 2 GTG’s and someone has brought a reverso. Both times it’s the watch everyone wants try on and then swears they are getting one. Then no one gets them. It’s like a 48 hour flu.

They don't know what they miss 😵‍💫 It's a watch that you have to own at least once.

That's standard Reverso equipment.

My 24 hour Reverso of Misfortune had one just like it.

Custom short strap, ordered online via Camille Fournet - they're good! Very positive experience
