Good morning!

I assume that the collecting (or hoarding) bug may not be limited to just watches and I wonder if anyone has a favorite or special coffee mug that they tend to use more often than others? They happen to be my personal souvenir of choice while traveling and I have managed to cram about 30 or so into my tiny Stockholm apartment (against my fiance's wishes). They pack easily, are usually inexpensive and are a nice reminder of travel when you use them.

My favorite (most used) mug is a old 70s/80s Disney Epcot mug, which was given to me by a patient of mine, while I was working as a physical therapy assistant in New Orleans. He had brought his identical mug to the hospital with him to use during his month long hospital stay. I had mentioned that I loved his coffee mug (being a Disney fan and had that cool retro look) and he and his wife found one on Ebay and bought it for me.

Here is my daily beater

I also collect mugs with lovely quotes or cute paintings on it. Here are some of my collections that are mostly appropriate for each member of my family
For my husband the mugs about coffee and bear mug qoutes , for me it's the mugs about cake, normal and french flowers quotes, for my youngest daughter the one about not being a quiter and for my son the one about the sip Thank you for starting this thread and letting anyone share their favourite mugs

This is the insulated mug I’ve used daily for years and years to hold my morning latte. Not aesthetically appealing, inspirational or good for a chuckle, but it is supremely functional.

Bottoms up.

The guitar one is my everyday mug. It's the logo from my Hofner Guitar forum and celebrates a meet up in France in 2013

The next one goes back to my days owning a Mk1 MX5

Close to 22 years old now, my wife bought this mug for me when we were 1st married, at the little local drug store on the lake we lived at. She knew I liked vintage aircraft, and brought it home, maybe for our 1st month of marriage anniversary. It’s been my favorite ever since.

As an ex-pat Brit, this just makes me laugh - although most of my colleagues here in the USA that see it have a quizzical look on their face (it's my work coffee mug). I stole it during a white elephant gift exchange at a party a couple of years ago - and it was my wife and I that had brought it to the gift exchange in the first place!

Medium green Tom and Jerry. Last color of the Fiesta Lina. ‘59-‘69. Back when coffee cups were actually a single cup.

speaking about coffee... this worries me more than the state of the US economy...

Most Coffee Species At Risk Of Extinction Due To Climate Change

read the rest of the article in the news here
.
As many of us wake to our much needed morning coffee, a recent study finds that over half of all wild coffee species worldwide are in danger of going extinct.

The study, published in Science Advances, found that 60% of wild coffee species are under threat of extinction. This includes the wild species of Arabica, the most popular cultivated coffee species accounting for 60% of global production.

The majority of the wild coffee species globally are found in Africa and Madagascar, where deforestation, human encroachment and disease is increasingly killing wild coffee plants. While the wildly popular coffee species are mass cultivated around the world, the potential extinction for coffee species leads to real problems on the future of the coffee business.
