I like them, thanks for posting.
I couldn't find the bezel crown described properly, but I think copper would be too soft. It may be bronze.

No worries, you're right no idea where copper came from. It is bronze.

What a coincidence - I bought a bridge that crosses the Hudson! ::psy::
Is it a daily wearer ?
I think a wrist shot is in order.

Anyone heard of this Farer the British watch company...

Yup.

Interviewed Paul Sweetenham before the launch of the Aqua Compressor: https://www.time4apint.com/podcast/the-time-4a-pint-podcast-episode-23

Went to the Press Breakfast for the 37mm Hand Wound: https://www.time4apint.com/blog/hands-on-farer-37mm-hand-wound

Seem to have a solid following, particularly in the US.

Nice watches, yet to see one that would make me spend my own cash, but that's just personal taste.

Yeah quite a few are limited with only 100 or 150 made, I do like the levin with the stainless strap .

I'm don't think that's the case - they're made in relatively small batches (by Roventa Henex in Switzerland), but those small runs don't indicate limited editions.

The only limited model I know of is the Ponting II: https://farer.com/blogs/journal/limited-edition-ponting-ii-isle-of-wight

I guess the fact it doesn't say limited edition means it isn't, I was thinking if only 150 are made and each is Numbered then it's both a small batch and quite limited 😀

Most watches by most brands are made in batches... the overall quantity of each model produced by Farer isn’t that low.

And since Farer don’t claim that their watches (other than the Ponting II LE) are limited edition, I’m going with them not being limited edition. 👍

I'll bow to an expert I'm a mere novice/apprentice in the watch collecting game

The Lander seems to have been only 400 made and now “sold out”. I would consider that “Limited”. A very nice looking GMT and one I would consider getting if it were available.

These small batches would appear to be quite collectable as well, I got the Levin because I do actually like it.

That would be a batch. And I believe that more are coming. 👍

Paul, the head honcho is a retail magnate of old... if there were an opportunity to drive sales through calling something an LE, he’d do it.

I was told that they hold back the term “Limited Edition”, for when something is purposefully created to be limited.

The other lines, they keep making until demand wains.

Earlier this year they were talking about trimming down production of some quartz models, as demand was dropping off... someare in watch industry terms “low production”, but they don’t claim them to be LE.

By no means an expert, just going on what Farer themselves have told me.

With the hand-wound, for example, there were 200 watches on launch (4 of each colour way) - Part risk management, part stock management, part cash flow.

But more are now available, and I suspect will continue to be until no one wants to buy them.

The 37mm hand wound has been my favourite model to date... would just like to tweak some of the colours. 😉
