That would be a batch. And I believe that more are coming. 👍

Interesting. Not noted on the website.

Maybe they’re taking a small play out of the recent Rolex playbook and letting scarcity drive demand? I’m not suggesting they’re being devious, just that they’re being smart in not building too many units that go left unsold.

Any idea how to get in on additional units when/if they do come available? Sign up for notifications via their website I guess?

I remember seeing and liking the Lander model some time ago but wasn’t in a position to go for it at that time. Now that I am, it’s not available.

I’ll drop them a message and ask.

That would be great, thanks!

If rhey happen to have # 009, 129, 099, 199, 299 or 399 sitting in the vault ‘unsold’ you can ask for commission on finding a buyer... 😉

I suppose when the Numbered batch is gone, the next batch ordered would not have the numbers. So if by chance you got one and then demand drove further orders you'd have a collectable.

I certainly wouldn't go for a quartz though, definitely doesn't float my boat.

Also 400 would be limited to many brands but not necessarily a smaller brand like Farer

It’s like when omega have limited numbers of 2000 odd - quite a few brands would be over the moon just to sell 2000 of a single model let alone limit supply to 2000

Cool, thanks!

Love the watch, knowing it comes from a horse, now that’s truly special!

Cue new thread from @ulackfocus, about horses.
Great discussion, & nice to see a company succeeding with a customer friendly batch MO.

nice article about farer here

https://www.watchtime.com/featured/farer-hand-wound-37-mm-british-watches/

i do like the watches. . .unfortunately don't love the brass crowns

My tolerance for pseudo watch journalism drops with each publication that regurgitates the press release, and press shots, without actually seeing, or handling the watches.

“As always with Farer, each watch is designed in Britain before being sent to Switzerland for final assembly.”

What now?

The watches are designed in the UK, and made in entirety by Roventa-Henex in Switzerland.

Nothing is sent there for final assembly.

Also not limited to 100 pieces per model.

Sloppy Lazy Ass.

I eventually found it written on the site: bronze crown.
I think I can accept the bronze crown, as an odd quirk.

One day I'll get the material right I keep referring to it as brass

Came across this post looking for some Farer love on OF. I bought the Lander some time ago and it's worn almost daily, one of my favorites. The bronze crown is an odd quirk but the patina it's getting looks nice and you get use to it. Number 328 here.

200 of these recently announced (start shipping in November). I am very tempted to get a Lander as the look and GMT function would suit me nicely.

Nice to hear positive feedback from someone who has one and wears it often.

I quite like the new Chronographs and the Lander but I'm saving for a Seamaster hopefully a James bond one

I’ve read some concerning comments about the movement used in Farer chronos. I don’t know enough to comment other than the potential would scare me off.

I'm surprised there have been concerning comments about the ETA movement. Worst case, you have a decent 5-year warranty and a movement lots of places can service just in case.
