·I found this watch at a boot sale recently and paid £5 for it. I've worn it quite a bit over the last week and it's performed well keeping great time. It's an Imado badged watch ( a British company based in Lichfield) but made in Switzerland by Solvil Titus. The owner clearly didn't baby this watch. It has molten steel spots on it suggesting it was used when welding and the filth on it when I acquired it definitely points to this being the everyday watch of a manual worker. What this shows me is that even these mid range Swiss watches were well made and able to stand up to hard use for many years. I believe the movement to be an AS one. Any other Solvil et Titus owners out there?
