Happy New Year everyone!

I am looking to sell a relatively uncommon Movado Museum - the product of a collaboration between Movado and Zenith. The two companies worked together in the late 1960s to the early 1980s to produce some fantastic pieces, including this Museum model. The collaboration is better known for the work behind the El Primero line of vintage chronographs.

Designed by Nathan Horwitt, the Museum model features a very sharp and classic look. A gold ring frames the date at 12 o’clock and contrasts perfectly with a stunning black dial. The watch did not have a seconds hand when I purchased the watch, which I thought was correct as the more common manually wound Museum models only have minute and hour hands. I was somewhat surprised when I saw that my watchmaker had added a seconds hand while servicing the watch.

The solid 14k yellow gold case is razor sharp. It’s also quite heavy (close to 40g w/movement), meaning a scrap gold value of ~$750-800 (assuming ~25 grams of gold). This model measures approximately 34mm not including the crown but wears bigger and is larger than the more common manually wound model.

Inside is a cal. 2572 PC automatic movement. The watch was serviced about a month ago - photo of the movement was taken prior to the service. As with the rest of the watch, the movement is in stunning condition.

The watch has what I believe is the original zenith crown.

Pictured strap is included.

Price: $1150 USD via Transferwise plus shipping (from Canada).

This was a lovely piece and I am not surprised it sold so quickly.
