Thanks, that is EXACTELLY what I am looking for !

As noted in this thread

1) Case back. - Looks to be a somewhat desirable caseback most likely worth more then anything else.

2) mid-case & pushers - Case appears to be an Omega of some type due to lugs, but was not a speedmaster professional case as noted by the pusher integration with the case The pushers do not matter at all.

3) crystal - does not matter, but an Omega one will have an Omega symbol dead center if it is a hesalite.

4) bezel - fake fake fake

5) main dial - Fake

6) hands -main - all seem legit and appear to be real parts, hard to fake the tritium lume aging.

7) hands-small - Look right not sure about the one around the moonphase.

8) movement - main- Appears to be a Lemania dressed up with identical Omega parts

9) moonphase operations. - Unknown never saw pics of this, but I am pretty sure someone covered the only thing that would work in it, so it should be a Lemania.

Friends:

From the above and other responses, I get
the sense that the back, mid-case, movement
and bracelet are the only parts with major value.

Is anyone willing to venture estimates on the
eBay value of only those four (4) components ?

Cheers, Scott

I'm not sure the mid case and movement are worth much.

The case looks either fake or best case, it's a modified (ruined) early Speedmaster case. I'm swaying towards fake.

Given that the movement contains parts from various sources, it's really of no use to anyone, other than for some donor parts, but not all of them will be useable, so the value will likely be low.

Just list them in a no reserve auction and let the market decide. If you want an idea beforehand, do a search of ebay completed listings.

Interestingly, the watch sold complete
and running to an airline pilot.

The new owner read the thread and said
that he now knows more about the watch
then he could have ever imagined,
and he knew EXACTLY what he was buying.

The price to me was about $2,750..................

I appreciate all the advice and time many of you spent,
and the (generally) good humor for a "Newb."

I did most of my watch collecting before the internet,
and then information had to come from the (few)
books available, and the "constant updating" of the
internet was not even imagined....

Thanks for the help, everybody !
