Hello everyone, new to the forum. I posted a reply to the other thread re early seamaster divers and what to look for, but j didn’t get any feedback. I figured I’d give this thread a shot. I have one for y’all. From what I’ve can see it all looks right, dial print is not quite white but also not grey… case bezel, dial and hands look right to me… thoughts?

To me this looks correct.
Feels like an honest, well-used, example.

But these really are a jungle.
I quite like the model, but with so many iffy examples around, I've just tried to stay clear over the years.

Dial, hand and bezel ok
Glas with magnifier ok
Polished case
Service caseback
Later 1125/560 bracelet
Not a bad one
I’m confused I’ve always stayed away from ones with ‘pointed A’s on the case back? Yet now people are saying they are ‘service casebacks’ what is the correct case back? Does any of the ‘experts’ know #misinformation

I used this guide and dismissed many despite having contradictory info given here.
I have finally relented the plung and paid good money for what I believe (and hope is a good one) advice from ‘ the watch bloke Duncan Hewitt’ ‘wait and buy a good one it’ll save a fortune in serving and parts’’

The new service cases had pointy A's on them...this case is 2019 production:

The shape of the cut out around the crown changed also:
