I have gotten in my junk email two different messages purporting to be direct PM from OF members. They don't appear here on the forum in my mail.

They are real emails from the forum, but I believe the DMs were deleted by admins. I got one from the same user (labeled 'memomatic' and trying to get me to email someone who might have one?).

I clicked on the email notification right away and saw it on the forum. It has since disappeared.

Yep, I'm guessing the user got banned/DMs got deleted by admins before you had a chance to click on them. I saw it on my phone right as it came in, so I probably clicked on it before admins got a chance to see it 😁 There is now no trace of it on the forum at least.


But yeah, they were really scammy looking, just a "hey this person probably has what you're looking for <email>" kinda thing.

Yep we received several reports for both, which we greatly appreciate as they let us act quickly and erase these guys entirely before they get any money out of anyone

Presumably if you can't get to it on the site, there is no need to report as admins already deleted it?

Guess so. I just did this to see if anyone else was getting them. Good to know Ash is looking out for us.

Oh, I definitely get that! Its perhaps not trivial to tell the difference between 'spam emails' and 'spam PMs that cause emails', so I get why you posted this. I misunderstood what you'd asked above.

Got the anitamack message yesterday and am waiting for my Speedmaster from 1912 to arrive. It was a prototype used on the Titanic. Should arrive soon. Got it for low five figures.
