Maybe a stupid question: If these watches were specifically for the French market due to French law stating that they must be identified as swiss made, why does the extract say that it was delivered to Switzerland? What am I missing? Great looking watch btw!

Its a good point - I bought the watch as I liked it and wanted a post war 30mm movement (following on from a 6B/159 purchase). The whole Fab-Suisse was a side story at the time. I will add this to my list of 'things I need to look into'... pulling on threads like this usually digs up interesting stuff which is why I love the hobby. Thanks again :0)

Well, this isn’t technically fab Suisse but it warrants and appearance in this thread as it’s a french made constellation

quite a rare model and in pretty much perfect original and unpolished condition. Superb french made rose gold case

quite a special piece imho and love the detailing, including the french hallmark on the case medallion

Some more "Fab. Suisse" ?

A Movado Calendograf, with both printing "Switzerland" and "Fab. Suisse" 😀

A Rolex early Oyster, with both printing "Swiss Made" and "Fab. Suisse" 👍

A Jaeger chronograph from the early 60s, "Fab. Suisse" only 😗

And to conclude, a waterproof chronograph from the early 40s, by Hugex with a double "Fab. Suisse" 😁

Nice watches!
As far as I remember, I have never seen this kind of double Fab. suisse. Interesting!

Very nice watches indeed !

You killed the game with that double « Fab. Suisse » though 😉

Beau
I've got a few to share -
beautiful watches! I understood that the brown omega box you have pictured was made in Milan so I always assumed this would be for the Italian market. Do you have any provenance to suggest this is indeed the original case for your fab Suisse?

Here’s the bottom of my one of those cases:

Two of mine. Both have a cal 30. The first one is 80 microns gold plated, the second one is solid gold. Its movement has also a « fabriqué en Suisse » indication, which is unusual for cal 30 in my experience - though Erich explained it was more frequent for cal 30 chronometers.
