Lol I mean yea. No real surprises here.
But I do like that it is a nod to one of their older liveries...

And I also like that they ditched the green that was on the car last year. Overall really cleaned it up IMO.

Looks like there has been some restructuring within the FIA. In the new FIA Administration chart, Masi & Tombazis have been replaced as the director. Curious to see how this plays out.

Michael Masi has been replaced along with several other revisions

Not exactly unexpected... I think this is the bare minimum they had to do.

Still think that was one of THE most beautiful looking F1 cars ever. The 92 Jordan was a good looking car too, but that particular Ferrari just before high noses came in, and with the sweeping curves on the flanks is a great combination of elegant and purposeful.

I will say that I think these new cars look great.
Just look at the sidepod detail on this thing...

I also really like the Mercedes paint job this year...

The Ferrari livery looks cool but that historical paint job wasn’t from their best era so hopefully it isn’t bad luck for them. It’s interesting the wheelbase differences between some of these cars as well, Mclaren in particular looks really long.

You know I keep saying this but when I saw the F1 demo 2022 car it looked so cheap and tacky like a hot wheels toy more than an F1 car and I was prepared for these cars to look like junk but damn… these cars look so fast and so purposeful with the ultimate designs the teams came out with and the right liveries. It really is an important part that they look the business and make little kids smile when they see them as that’s always half the point of any sports or race car but the halo has effectively vanished for me now and it would look weird without it, and the overall shape and wings on these are just perfection.

Such a big improvement from the awkward looking 2014-2016 cars especially.

I really like how the teams all have different side pod designs. The past few years almost all of the cars looked the same. This year you can take away the livery and still see design differences.

I’m digging the new cars except the Ferrari but everyone seems to think it’s the best looking…

I think they dropped the ball livery wise and the Ferrari looks boring.

I like the Ferrari. It isn't my favorite but it is much better than last year.

These front wings are going to get demolished this season. They are so much higher off the ground compared to last season. While they were fragile last year, they still somewhat frequently survived being run over. Enough to at least allow the driver to continue racing to the checkered flag, sometimes with little negative impact on performance. For example, I said this December last season
Wtf was Lewis’s front wing made from?! Setting fastest lap times after being driven over by Ocon and driving straight into the back of Max.
With these new wings, I don't foresee that happening this season. Admittedly, this isn't very scientific but I'm using this to help illustrate what I am saying.

Not complaining. Just making an observation

The new front wings should clear the curbs.

Ah, good point. I was too focused on car vs car and hadn’t considered car vs curb. Thank you
