We should all be grateful for Lewis not retiring the car to save the engine. What true champion to persevere.
Engine might have been cooked anyway. Water leaks for both Mercs and they were ordered to lift and coast for the last few laps.
There were some very strong drives today!
I don't want to back to the "grenade" engine era, but three per year is not enough IMO. Even back when the DFV was dominant they were stripped & rebuilt after each race.
Lewis wanted to quit on like lap 3.

"Ultimately there was quite a bit of adversity in that race, starting so far back," Hamilton said.
"There was a girl that I spoke to yesterday, who was my little inspiration, Isla, a five-year-old that's terminally ill and she said can you win the race for me tomorrow.
"I said I don't know if I can win the race, but I'll give it everything. So hopefully for me, that was a bit like a win, and I dedicate it to her."

F1 has Lewis Hamilton
Golf has Tiger Woods
The chattering class of sports 'experts' always has these guys in the events reporting.
Nobody needs to be an expert to see the moral failings of both these guys.
Only things I’m really aware are
1. Not going to the F1 gala last year
2. Crashed his Zonda a few years ago
3. Falling out with Nico.
Such a terrible guy…
And, don't forget the acrimonius split from Nicole (Pussycat Dolls singer?) where he apparently cussed her out....this is what I read but don't know how accurate....
