This is pure fiction designed by a digital artist, and while I’m not a fan of Haas… this livery is glorious.
Damn! You totally had me for a second!
Whenever the cars change it's always a worry (there have been some rule changes that have caused UGLY cars), and I've been worried about these cars. But that livery looks awesome. I'd be prepared to bet their own designers can't top that...

Season 4 Drive to Survive released on Netflix last Friday. (or the Christian Horner Show as some people would call it)

A good watch!

Idk it seems the are rightfully making Horner out to be the whiner he is and Toto more stable but unused to failure. Which is valid.

totally different men doing the same job with different yet similar family lives. I think the focus on them 2 so far ( a few episodes in) was a good choice.

Yep, it was clear what the producers thought about the whole shebang…

Meanwhile, here’s an interesting comparison

Wonder which video game that is from.

remember those Turbo era cars still hold some track records. In a straight line they are brutally fast, they do not have has much grip in corners as last years cars. And the turbo hybrids only started taking track records about 3 years ago or so.

all signs point to slower cars again which is not always a bad thing.

How do you say that Masi made the wrong call without saying Masi made the wrong call?

https://jalopnik.com/f1-clarifies-safety-car-rules-that-cost-lewis-hamilton-1848658142

TLDR: “If the clerk of the course considers it safe to do so, and the message ‘LAPPED CARS MAY NOW OVERTAKE’ has been sent to all competitors using the official messaging system, all cars that have been lapped by the leader will be required to pass the cars on the lead lap and the safety car.”

It’s interesting with these images that modern cars appear to be so much larger than those from 25 years ago - I’d have to check the exact specs (particularly width) but seeing as most circuits haven’t changed much it’s easy to see why there’s such a focus on improving overtaking.

I think the length is the bigger thing, and the weight especially. I remember watching as a kid and even when it was Lewis and Kimmi fighting in Spa in ‘08 the cars would just fling themselves left and right across the track like they had no mass or inertia, they just danced through corners and over kerbs. Now they’re like 50% heavier and they seem so sluggish in that regard.

Surprising & refreshing (at least to me) results today in the qualifying.

Looking forward to lights out on this tomorrow morning (US central)! 🍿

I read the full report, and it says - human error.

Rules changes tell the tale.
