Nice job by Max today for the only non-Mercedes powered pole position of the 2020 season.

Much better race by Albon today. This is what RB needs from him. Stay within the pit stop window of the Mercedes to prevent Mercedes getting a free run on strategy.

Indeed Albon did a much better job today. However it was difficult to keep my eyes open (especially since I'm a Ferrari fan) 😜

Lol. Yes, Abu Dhabi is boring. The track and facilities look amazing but the actual racing is terribly boring.

Congrats to Max.

Hats off the broadcast team for keeping me awake during the entire race.

Indeed. On a positive note, Mercedes didn't win this race for the first time after 2013! 😁

There have been a few surprises this year which is great, but overall F1 Racing is pretty boring, maybe we need more of these very short circuit races, the last race was okay as a viewing spectacle.

Coulthard made me laugh when they were talking about the failings of this track. He was at a consultation about the new track apparently, when the designer was describing the amazing underground pit exit he had planned. 'What are the fans on that corner going to see if its underground?' asked David. 'Er, they can watch the cars on a big screen' says proud designer.

A pretty terrible race today. I'm happy Max won, but I'm worried for the future of F1 given the Mercedes domination. I barely watch anymore because I know what's going to happen.

Anyone else a bit miffed at HAM saying he wasn't fully fit/ it took it out of him etc etc ?

Feels like a bit of a Merc own goal not sticking RUS in it again for the excitement and attention and letting the 7 times World Champ have the weekend off to recouperate or dine out with a load of friends or something I don't know.

He was fit enough to drive so he drove. As long as Hamilton was cleared by the doctors and he felt like he could drive, he's going to drive.

You obviously have no idea of the size of Hamiltons ego.

In an interview HAM was talking about getting used to being back in the car after even a reletivly short break, and that it took some time to get back into the groove.
I thought it was funny when he said the car didnt feel the same as when he left it. I pictured Russel moving the wing mirrors and re-tuning radio. And then driving it like he stole it, no respect! Grrr!

I was shocked to see a young Fernando Alonso topping the time sheet at F1's Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi. 🙄

And did a big wee while he was in there too.

Something to tell the grandkids.
