Alpine is a wholly owned part of Renault
Ahhhhhh. This much I didn’t know. Which, makes this
If a corporation wants to raise the profile of their lesser known models then this is what they do.
Make sense.

Alpine (that's Al-Peen, not Al-Pine) on the 1969 [Edit: no, it was 1970] RAC Rally of GB somewhere in Scotland. Sorry for photos of photos but I'm supposed to be cooking and not pulling out a proper scanner.

I remember going to Las Vegas in 2016 and placing American football bets down. I asked if I could bet on F1 and the only bet the sports book allowed was the WDC. I don't remember the odds. All I remember Lewis was up on Nico in the WDC but Nico had a better payout if you bet on him to win the WDC.

Sergio Perez to leave Racing Point.
Hmmmm.......

Seb...is that you?

Or riddle me this....
Gasly to RP, Albon back to AT and Vettel back to RB!

Side note: I still hope Hulk gets a seat at HAAS if Grosjean leaves the sport.

Imagine if Hulkenberg signed with Haas thinking that was his only shot all to find out Perez's seat opens up ::facepalm1::

I am curious if Hulk will get the seat at RP.

Yea, Carlos slim and Stroll And were never going to work. Haas could do with sharing the burden, Hul would be a great fit of they can dump the engine.

Mag and Gro are , or should be done .They offer very little now.

I bet on Schumacher winning Monaco? one year, back before internet days. Had I known rain was forecast I would have bet 10x the amount. Odds were something like 2 to 1 so not much to be won. Ballys used to allow F 1 bets.

If RP has the choice between Seb and Hulk I don't think there is much of a decision to be made lol.
Maybe if HAAS quit buying Ferrari parts they'd be a better team hah.

So now that Seb is officially at Aston that solidifies things there.
There are still many places Hulk and Perez could go. Although I'm sure some of these seats are "locked up" this is what is technically still available:

Mercedes - 1 seat
Red Bull - 1
Alpha R - 2
HAAS - 2
Alpha T - 2
Aston M - 1

Looking at your list Mercedes doesn't have a seat free as Botas already signed and Lewis is about to sign=0
Also Aston Martin have now confirmed Vettel and I don't see them telling Stroll he no longer has a contract or a seat either=0
Alfa Romeo and Haas may both have 2 seats free but seeing as they are stuck with the now non cheating low power Ferrari engine I don't see either of those two drivers going there just for a pay check.
Which leaves Alpha T and Red Bull neither of which tend to recruit from outside of their own junior driver program so don't see that being a realistic option for Hulk or Perez.
Sad as it maybe it doesn't look Hulk or Perez will get a drive next year IMO but what do I know as anything can and does happen in F1.
I'm more interested to see what happens to Vettel v Stroll next year as that should be good to watch. Also just what will Seb's fans and supporters say if he gets beaten by Stroll most or all of the time? What will the Stroll haters say if he regularly beats Vettel?

Money is still money no matter how under performing the team is. We might see a particular move as embarrassing but for the drivers, they still get the thrill of driving fast. Driving for any team allows them to stay relevant. With Ocon out last season, everyone was talking about how one year out is okay but two years out people start forgetting you as the up and coming talent is so strong. There are exceptions to this as Alonso makes himself relevant.

However, will these teams ditch their drivers? That's another story. Haas has a solid record of keeping these two for whatever reason...

Alfa Romeo will probably have one veteran driver and one of the Ferrari Juniors (Schumacher, Schwartzman or Ilot) next year. If he gets his superlicense, Tsunoda will probably replace Kvyat at AlphaTauri. Perez and his sponsorship money could help Haas keep the lights on.

As for Stroll, he's not as bad as people make him out to be. People forget he is still only 21. He has won at the lower levels and just gets a lot of hate because of Dad's bank account. While I can see Stroll winning a few races, I don't think he will ever be fighting for the drivers championship.

Just a rumor but there's talk of Toto leaving Merc and managing Aston Martin. I don't see Lewis sticking it out if Toto were to leave.

Hasn’t this rumor been around even before Aston was a thing again?
