Am I a cynic to suggest Hulk got told to box to ensure Daddy’s boy didn’t lose face being beaten by the sub?
Or did I miss a problem Hulk was struggling with?

I thought the exact same mate. He was in the lead and his Pirellis were fine, probably will get a nice bonus from the boy’s father for doing what he’s told.

I really hate Racing Point.

Yeah - I thought his tyres would have been good enough to finish on.
Don’t think you’re alone in your RP opinion!

Racing Point said on Twitter they had to pit Hulk because of severe vibrations

The twitter replies are almost entirely skeptical there too, the team social media manager is trying to diffuse it but not having much luck

Yeah I don't doubt Lawrence would do something like that

Gutted for HUL, some vibrating issue that was solved by driving into the pits?

ALB was stonking, sticking them round the outside takes some balls.

SAI- what's going on? He signed out because of FER move? Was nip and tuck with NOR at start of season now....?

Ferrari and Vettel have given up on each other. You can tell neither side gives a shit about the other.

Even though I'm on team Lewis, I feel bad for Bottas who got shafted on strategy. He had no chance once Lewis pitted like 10 laps later for fresh tires at the end of the race.

I'm part-way through watching Silverstone Round Two: the seventieth on catch-up (it's good enough for me frankly). I caught the spoiler that Max was the mask on the winner's podium interview. What I found really telling was a long camera shot somewhere on the first lap and it was striking just how strung out the whole field was with Vettel sweeping up the rear at some considerable distance.

I'm expecting the race to be largely processional with occasional flurries of tyre failure on the left front.

And, whatever the ins and outs of the brake duct issue, of course Stroll Senior was going to act all affronted. Force Racing Aston Point India Martin indeed: that's a good part of the phonetic alphabet in one team!

That was a great drive by Max for the win today. Hulk and Leclerc also had impressive drives under the circumstances.

Vettel is clearly checked out and is no longer carrying Ferrari's water. Bottas also got screwed on tire strategy.

It's supposed to be hotter in Spain next week so it will be interesting to see if Mercedes can adjust to the heat.

Not a spectacular race due to most of the work being done on tyre strategy. I think it was an incredible drive from Max, over ruling the team to pressurise the Mercs and force them into using up the tyres. I don't think many drivers could have got the win with what he had, even Red Bull got a surprise.

Had a thought, may not be that interesting to some, but I realised there are more seats floating around in F1 than meets the eye.
With ALO coming back to REN, and VET off to the Pink Merc Brigade kicking out PER, it leaves HUL in somewhat of a tricky situation.

However, there is one team who has had a dramatic fall in performance ( thanks FER), is making noises about leaving and whose drivers even the commentators don't hide their animosity for ( can you guess?).

So, the challenge is, if Haas is serious about staying in F1, ditch the 2 b3llends and recruit some experienced heads to build upon, I don't know, say, HUL and PER? The Haas model has some merit, they have had some decent mid field success, and could do better if only their current line up would stop being, well, themselves.

Grogean and Kyvat are the two most likely to loose their seats next year in my opinion. Maybe even Kimi if he's looking to retire

RAI is unlikely to comeback according to some reports, but they have a replacement lined up already.
Kyvat looks a bit stuck right now

Hi all

With all the latest noise about what action should be taken and what penalties should also be imposed on Racing Point I find it truly mind blowing that one of the biggest protesters should be Ferrari. I mean really after their last investigation being all behind closed doors with no admissions of guilt or what they actually did wrong made public for them to be shouting the loudest for stiffer penalties is laughable at best. Just in case anyone has any doubts about IF Ferrari where cheating or not just look at the lost and lack of performance of all the Ferrari powered cars once they had to stop cheating for proof and also look at how long it is taking them to try and get back that performance to as so far they look worse than 2018 cars.
