Yeah just the GP circuit not the Green Hell.

Ahh, that makes sense. I always think of the Green Hell when the Ring gets mentioned.

Anyone else tied of seeing brand names all over arenas, and race track corners?

No question. Remember the good 'ol days when they named them after a famous driver?

I wonder what Coke paid?

I guess it's just like all the sports arenas. "Your name here" for $$$$$$$$$$$$$

must not like Le Mans or Hockinhiem.

older tracks with manufactures and parts manufacturers names on some corners and straights. A lot of the names go back to who had sponsoring near that curve and the name stuck. It was not purchased.

With the British government announcing this weekend that people coming to the UK from Spain must isolate for 14 days, what effect will that have on the Spanish Grand Prix in three weeks time? The next race after that is two weeks later at Spa, so the teams probably won't want to wait there for weeks, especially after three consecutive race weekends.

Will UK.gov be pragmatic and say that the F1 isolation rules are good enough?

What will Carlos Sainz do -- it's not clear where he lives but it seems to be both London and Madrid.

Nurburgring in October has the potential to be completely crazy, I love it. We’ve had hailstorms at the 24h race in May there, October can pretty much offer everything from blazing heat to snow.

Also, Portimao and Imola should be exciting. This is turning out to become much better than I expected.

Neil Peart was. In one of his books on touring with the band, he refused to mention any of the arenas sponsors names. He didn’t want to do any of their promoting in his book.

There's your problem right there.
UK doesn't appear to be lead by science currently, the Spanish quarantine seems like a complete dead cat given the infection / death rates of UK when compared to Spain. It would honestly not surprise me if Spain /France etc imposed a quarantine on anyone arriving from the UK.

Also ha-ha at FER having to roll out the smiles for more Italian races with the shed on wheels they have this year.

As F1 is going from the UK to Spain what the UK gov decides is not an issue. I don’t think anyone of importance would be caught the wrong side of the quarantine deadline.
There may be a problem if other nations react with legislation to the current spike in cases in Spain.
From what I have seen the regulations around what the F1 circus is allowed to do are very strict. No deviations from airport to hotel to circuit. No bars or restaurants etc.

I see the Nürburgring is back this year. Isn't that track like 14 miles and lap times are around 7 minutes a lap? The outlaps and installation laps are going to be insanely long.
There is a short F1 version

I was thinking about what they could do after the race. Seven of the ten teams are based in the UK (Haas are during the season)

Formula1.com say the teams have been granted an exemption but the UK government's long and detailed list of exemptions does not include any category for them except for the truckies.

Apparently, Hulkenberg is among the most likely candidates to replace him. I’d be stoked for him if he actually managed to finally score his first podium as a replacement driver. The car seems to be good for it and he is, too, no doubt about it.

HUL confirmed at Pink Merc.

I'll admit I'm clutching my tinkle at the thought of him coming back for a couple of races and finally getting a podium.

Wouldn't that be something...
