Anyone thinking this is anything else than a complete fabrication needs to have his head examined.

On that note : does anyone have an extract for a watch made after 2000?

United-Stated🤦::facepalm1::

Even worse: 'on the United-Stated' instead 'of the United States'

So many things on this that “flag” the extract.

anyone want to order a new one?

I’m half tempted to do it, win the auction then sue for miss representation.

SN resolves to December on 95...

the remarks section in this era means nothing.

Some of our more esteemed OF members with contacts at Omega should contact them and inquire about this watch. Meanwhile, on the extract, (1) typos and grammar-os happen (see "De Luxe" and "who was a subsidiary" below) and (2) the signature looks good (similar, but not xeroxed).

So I also took a deep dive on the EOA as it has some interesting features...

Just before it, notice it is not on the letterhead....

Just after it, notice some differences from the 2008 in the signature block and is now on the letterhead.

Same month, and the only one I can see from the same time, it appears to be the same format. I am going to guess the letter head is grey on this and its just an artifact of the scanning that it is darker.

Now lets go back and look at that signature on the red dial one... What is up with all the hesitation marks on that signature? You see them all over the signature. Also look at where the heavyness of the stroke is, its in totally different places...

All right. This thread needs a reminder of how strong and indestructible New York really is, from someone born and raised there.

Taken on a NYC subway platform, one unremarkable day. Really, for NYC, he’s rather small.

That watch is an abomination, both to NYC and to Omega. As critical as I have been about some of Omega’s limited editions, even I know that there’s no way Omega did this.

It’s just a question of degrees of fraud and identifying the responsible parties.

Run rat, run!

A good manufacturer will try to broaden their customer base as much as possible in order to maximize sales. Omega offers watches for all tastes. Can you blame them for developing a product that appears to the terrorist market? It is an underserved market, and it has been known to include some very wealthy individuals. I Imagine Bin Laden would have eagerly bought up a few thousand units to distribute to his loyal associates.

(yes, this is a joke....)

Perhaps one of the few remaining watch journalists will pick this up

Very recently they moved the bar to 2010 I believe but I agree, when this extract was supposedly issued, Onega didn’t issue them for watches made after 2000. Another ‘anomaly’. It’s clearly bullshit.

Many thanks to the OP for bringing this awful monstrosity to light so we can treat Davide Parmegiani and his associated enterprises with suspicion going forward. If indeed he is linked with this as you say.

I emailed the auction house and invited them to join this discussion. They replied (paraphrasing) "The watch comes from a prominent collector and includes an extract from Omega, so we have no reason to doubt it."

Willful ignorance...

‘Prominent collector’ means someone who’s offloaded a lot of watches through MLA’s auction room

There are prominent members on OF, some of whom whose knowledge would justifiably qualify them as expert witnesses in a court of law. I don’t see any of them coming forward to veryify, or even substantiate this abomination

Let’s hope the winning bidder bins the archival extract, destroys the dial and caseback, and sells the remainder as parts

Anyone wanna put some cash down and apply for a modern EOA for the serial?

Let me rephrase - if 109 numbers send me a quid I will do it. That’s the rough cost. The shortfall I will pick up

Count me in!

Is it worth it, though, if we receive the EOAafter the auction date?

I'm in anyway!

I counted roughly 30 different posters here. I'd even send you 2 quids/Euro/Dollars. If the others do too, we are set!
