I’m wondering if this is why we see some watches described in notes and some in the upper area on newer extracts.

Donation made - thanks to all.

I couldn't donate on behalf of OF as there was no box to write in and they can also claim gift aid so the donation doesn't get taxed, so they receive the full amount.

Hi everyone, sorry to bring up this old thread, but I just read all nine pages because someone I know just brought me this Omega. It has the same caseback as the one that was sold at auction, but with a classic dial and a serial number dating from 2005.
It’s number 26. Has anyone ever figured out whether it actually came from Omega or not?
PS: I'm in France.

Hi!

General consensus is these are third party.

With the other example having a pre 2000 serial and yours 2005 it lends even more credence to it being cobbled together by a third party.

Do you by chance have a clear dial shot of yours so I can date the dial as well?

Wow sorry I haven’t seen the notification ! Yes this is the number 26 and the dial is just a normal dial !
Everything from 2005
