Many thanks to Omega as I've just received my 'extract from the archives' via email in PDF form within only days of requesting it.
The paper copy is on the way but it's good to have the details back so quickly.
I was a little anxious because if there's anything amiss.....no refund.
Not only did it confirm what I had hoped for, but the military connection surely takes it up another notch?

Glad it worked out for you and that is some pretty cool information!

No military significance, the US Foreign Exchange was simply the retail sales unit for goods offered to military members (and their families) serving overseas. This does not make the watch a military watch, it is not an issued watch.

The US Army Exchange adds a tiny bit of interest but no value.

The 'special model fitted with an orange chronograph hand' may add a huge amount of value though.

Pictures?
