Ultraman?

Hi, I have a 1967? 321 with an orange hand and have been advised to get an extract from the archives, which I will do. But is it fair to say that if my reference number falls between two other known Ultraman reference numbers, that's it's genuine? Thanks in advance.

The ultra man was produced in 1968
Speedmaster 145.012-67
In the serial number range of roughly 3000 watches (26.076.xxx and 26.079.xxx, which corresponds to a production in 1968), an unknown number of watches were assembled with an orange hand. So if your watch is from 1976 its not an ultra man from what I read.

Then again, the OP did say it has a 321....

I’d say post some detailed pics. You’ll probably get more help that way

Thanks, you'll have to excuse my ignorance as I thought the 145.012-67 referred to 1967. I have the same serial number and the reference is 26.077.xxx.

Ahhh - suspect the OP had a typo in the initial post -- wrote 1976, meant 1967. Happens to us all...

Well, the watch has lived a hard life, but if the extract works out, someone will buy it for the movement and the sweep hand, and replace the rest.

I'm not looking to sell it, just fascinated on gathering information about it.

Thanks to the Antiques Roadshow, about 2000 Ultraman Speedies are about to surface and flood the market!

Very nice! Hope it is all original. I wish I could be of more help but I know NOTHING about the history of why they were made etc I just know they are VERY cool looking and something maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to add to the collection.
