It's real and has a rare dial and hand setup compared to other models. There is a IDF issued one in a book I have that had orange accents on the dial and the sweep hand was orange and said it was a special order for the IDF but even books can be wrong yours does not have that so maybe for the civilian market.
Thanks for your kindly reply

Awesome, thanks for sending. I have a Scubapro 500 which wears very similarly to the Eterna.
If you hunt for military watches, you should look on eBay at the Scubapro 500 issued by the Norwegian military. Might be a good add to your collection. Cheers mate.

Here is another cool link and check out the rest of Scubawatch site one of the best vintage dive watch sites use to spend a lot of time checking out this site years ago when I first got into this hobby.

Lovely IDF Mike, always liked that one.

Here's my little Eterna Matic, a Lemania 5100 tractor engine dressed in fine clothes with little flourishes in the handset - I particularly like the blue minute track numbers -

Something about the case and dial. And the way it wears.

Incredible watch for the money.

I got this for $50 on Ebay as a non runner. It was a 1951 by serial numbers so it matches my personal serial number (birth year). I therefore tore it down and cleaned all the smoodge out. Just got done today putting it back together. So far running great. Here are some pics along the way.
The inside is soo damn beautiful. Why did they put that much detail into a part few people enjoy?

For my above Eternamatic, I noted the movement and case numbers do not match. The movement is a 35xxxxx number and the case is earlier with a 34xxxxx. Does this mean the movement and case were not originally together?

No problem. Cases and movements are normally not numbered the same.

I'm still waiting for my Centenaire 61, full restoration will take 4-6 months.
That long? It's been 4 months on July 12, I hope pretty soon!
I've tried loading pics prior to resto but I'm getting some kind of error message. Well...
Could somebody tell me why that long for restoration???
Thanks!

As long as they are within a few years of each other, it's generally considered ok. I believe they were made, and numbered, separately ... and then assembled.

Was wondering if anyone could tell me if all vintage Kontiki's have a serial number on the caseback and on the movement?

I have a Kontiki from early 60's with a very worn caseback with serial numbers engraved, considering a NOS caseback with no serial numbers, does this pose a problem??

Thanks.

From a collector's standpoint that would be a mistake, basically replacing an original part with a service part. However, it's your watch and you should do what makes you happy. Just hang onto the original case-back for re-sale purposes.

Thanks Dan for the quick response, was wondering if you could confirm that all early 130 T's have both serial and movement numbers?

As far as I know, all Eternas from the era we are discussing have both movement serial and case numbers. Speaking from first-hand experience, all of the Eternas I have owned, from the 1940s through the early 1970s, have both serial and movement numbers, including multiple Kontikis. However, I have not owned a 130T.

They have had some great value watches over the years both gents and ladies. Some Vinyage models are a steal IMO
