·Letting another one go from my Schmitz-Frères-cased collection — this time it’s a stunning 1930s Eterna clamshell.
This watch features a beautifully aged two-tone dial, with a copper outer ring and a center section that’s taken on an off-white patina over the years. The luminous material is radium, the crystal is sharp, and the original crown is intact. It’s also marked Fab. Suisse, as is often seen on Eterna clamshells from this period.
I bought it as serviced in 2020 and it still runs well.
