·Hi all,
I have a very specific and perhaps stupid question. I just received a used Elma Super Elite and just did a quick functional check this morning before I start cleaning it, but the speed control does not seem to be working.
Am I correct in assuming that there should be a visually noticeable change in rotation speed even when in air and without a basket attached? Or does it need the liquid to resist the change in torque? The knob itself feels very vague, but as I have no previous experience with this machine that could still be normal.
I have a brand new basket so I can test it, but as the jars are filthy I don’t want to contaminate it nor invests a lot of time cleaning the machine if it is going to have to be returned due to an obvious fault. So hopefully someone here can confirm my suspicions!
Thanks in advance.
