I found them on cousinsuk. Look at boley.de with the reference number and you should find the part number. with that search on cousinsuk. I have a daydisc in very good condition if you are interested . never needed it. PM

Thank you Rogart,
I am not sure about the glass gasket. Neither Boley nor CousinUK list a glass gasket for Omega case number 196.005.
With the ref. nb. of the glass (TN5179) I found that omega case number 196.016 and 196.019 share the same glass.
In those cases, there are 2 references for the glass gasket: 098EW0032 and 098.0032G. (they look alike but the price is quite different)
Did you order one of those reference nb. ?

Regards

I think everyone knows my opinion on the EQ, it's a very very special watch. They cost a fortune to develop, where the first ever Omega (Swiss) production quartz watch and the case design is awesome, I have owned a couple of dozen EQ's over the years and enjoyed everyone of them

This is a print screen of the parts i order . From Cousinsuk.

That is the hard part to find the right part. Cousinsuk doesn't always list the part when you search on the case number. That is why you should find the right number on Boley and then search with that number on cousinsuk.
Good hunting.

For case ref. 1960005, the crystal gasket is part 098EW0012.

The same as i bought. Have no idea now how i found that out? I see that boley.de doesn't have that in their databank? Neither does cousinsuk? I think i found it somewhere on the net? It worked nevertheless?

I am looking for the Omega calibre 1300 technical guide/service manual
I am very surprised that Google does not show anything relevant.
I contacted a seller on eBay but after requesting a picture of the 1st page, it appeared that he did not get it...🙁

Does anybody know where can I find it ?

Regards,
Laurent

Ahh sorry, I misread... do the service guides/manuals tend to be available in public places?

Old thread. But i am thinking of selling this watch. I haven't followed the market very much So i don't now how much they usually sell for. What is the value today. It looks about this today. Not polished but a few marks on top of the case.

I sniped one on eBay this morning! Set my alarm early just for it. I took a risk since there are no movement photos. My question is since parts for beta 21 are fairly hard to come by should I replace the movement with a beta 22 and keep the 21 as a collectible? Are beta 22 parts just as scarce?

Old thread but maybe I could find some help this way:

I have shown my watch to two different watcmakers(certified Omega as well as an "electronic specialists") and the conclusion from both seems is that it has an faulty "vibrating module"(I do not know what the part is officially called in english...) as both of these services did get the watch running in normal speed for a while, but eventually in both cases after some time it rushes up to double speed.

Does anyone know, if there would be a spare beta21 movement for spares(with a working vibrating module ofc), or if there would be any way to sort this kind of a faulty movement? Yep, I do know the rarity of the movement and that Omega does not take these for maintenance, but as my watch is externally in so fine state it would be a damn shame to just abandon it to the shelf without proper use.

All help is appreciated!

The only people I know of who have spares for beta 21 are Swiss Time Services in the UK. They will not sell you the part, if they have it but may be able to service/fix/polish it like new with a 2 year guarantee, same as my own one.
This may cost around £700gbp+

Yep, I had high hopes for STS also after getting the red light from my local Omega dealer. But when I enquired from STS about beta21 servicing, their reply was that unfortunately they(being an certified Omega shop) do not offer any services on this calibre any more.

I don’t think Tony takes these in anymore.

They were being run through the SwissTec part of the business, but I think parts became a serious problem.
