I don’t think Tony takes these in anymore.

They were being run through the SwissTec part of the business, but I think parts became a serious problem.
That is really disappointing, I did not know this.

Sadly, if no new parts are being made, it’s just a matter of time. 🙁

Bad news for 1300/1301 servicing, not sure why STS didn't take them "anymore" since they haven't for years and did that through SwissTec. Could there have been some confusion? Anyway the costs were equivalent to a full running movement...but with a warranty of course.

And only 169€ for the Omega f8192 ! Only the module though, there could be other problems like the pawl/indexing mechanism, I had that on one of mine.

Agree with you that there's some confusion. 👍

They were running them through the SwissTec part of the business - I've been told they are no longer able to do this even, because of parts availability. Which is sad, but I suppose inevitable.

ok that makes more sense, yep that's a little worrying. However what really can't be "fixed" is the electronic module and there seems to be a source for that above.

After months waiting for a new electronics module from Germany, it arrived damaged from shipment. The gent with strikes and spares immediately dispatched a new module. The wait continues, but I am glad to report that they stand by their products.

I know someone in the USA who repairs Beta 21s and other Electronic movements. Are you still interested in selling?

Hi there. I have my watch with a USA watchmaker that knows these watches. It is more of a parts issue with beta 21s. I am reviving a bulova accuquartz beta 21 movement and recasing it, so it isn't a project that all watchmakers would entertain.

A Bulova B21, wow ! There weren't too many of these, actually I can only remember seeing the 18k "monster", is that the one ? Pics would be great in any case ;-)

I am using an omega beta 21 case as the donor for this accuquartz movement. It's wedge shape is close to the accuquartz minus a whopping hunk of gold that the original had. These accuquartz had so much gold that they were irresistible to melters.

And the original for those who haven't seen it before (not my watch):

Ah yes that's the one, I wonder if any have survived...in 10+ years I've only see one pop up on eBay.
