They keep updating their software, and it no longer works the way I like it.

Specifically, because I get different results clicking on a complete listing. Sometimes I get the The selected item is no longer available - white bar, no link.
Sometimes I get The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.

As others have mentioned, in the latter case it's only an additional click - but on the former - it's somewhat annoying.

Am curious if it's a widespread experience - or just me. 😀

Do I have to say it again? Really? Over the years, I've told youze guyz dozens of times the watch game is only going to get harder, including predictions that eBay will change, independent watchmakers will be driven to the brink extinction (or at least the Swiss will try), and there will be exponentially more scammers as the hobby gets more popular and more $$$ are involved.

Watchstradamus has spoken. Heed my words.

It’s so fυcking amazing how many times I have been told by ebays customer “service” reps that eBay is built on trust. Really? I’ve been selling on eBay for 18 years and some asshole who is brand new to eBay returns a fake item instead of what I sent him and eBay tells me they trust him more than me?

Personally, I don't trust people who have to resort to foul language to express themselves.

That happened to me twice this year. I sold a vintage Bulova 23 jewel self winding watch and the buyer claimed not as described and returned a 1980s quartz Bulova and ebay sided with the buyer.

Another buyer bought a 1960s Montblanc 149 fountain pen, claimed it arrived damaged and returned a damaged 144 MB pen and again ebay sided with the buyer.

Better not do business, nor hang out, in the North East. 😜 The F bomb is a standard adjective here.

I am the opposite. I am leery of those who seem to suppress their thoughts/ emotions. But if you wave your hands around a lot when you talk that helps to gain my confidence.

I have my doubts whether "so jolly amazing" would have conveyed how frightfully goshdarned peeved this chappie is.

Q: How do you get an Italian woman from North Jersey to shut up?

A: Tie her hands behind her back.

So Ebay is sanctioning theft? Because that's what they are doing. I can't even explain how lividly pissed I would be with that.

Sadly the more successful a platform becomes, the more people will seek ways to cheat it. Modern version of mugging the person outside the designated meeting place and stealing the goods.

Watchstradamus has also said "The Internet is the modern equivalent of the Wild West - absolutely no safety and no law enforcement whatsoever".

The web is still a burgeoning frontier that nobody knows how to control. The outlaws don't even need masks or disguises!

That's been happening for 10 years or more. In the beginning, the buyer and seller protections were pretty evenly balanced. Now, they're so favored towards the buyer that it's nearly unusable as a seller unless you're willing to lose 10% to fraud

From Wikipedia…( Not known for scrupulous accuracy )

“In 2015, Dr. Paul Booth claimed to have found "(possibly) the earliest known use of the word 'fυck' that clearly has a sexual connotation": in English court records of 1310–11, a man local to Chester is referred to as "Roger Fuckebythenavele", probably a nickname. "Either this refers to an inexperienced copulator, referring to someone trying to have sex with the navel, or it's a rather extravagant explanation for a dimwit, someone so stupid they think this that is the way to have sex," says Booth.[8] An earlier name, that of ‘Dennis le Fucker recorded in 1278, has been the subject of debate, but is thought by many philologists to have had some separate and non-sexual origin.”………?
