Don't delay. This one deserves a place in any collection. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-jewelry-wat...ve/1179146878?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
Not a fake as it's actually an Omega caliber (962?) and the dial may even be original as these were produced as Lèpine and Hunter pocket watches well into the 1970s. Some creative "Doctor" has built a "Marriage Watch" by putting the Omega parts into a new case, most likely made in China.
Right. Sorry 'bout that. I had seen the pocket watch version but had never seen it on a strap. Or at a 45 degree angle. Perhaps the good 'Doctor' is also a chiropractor with a sense of humor?
Fake Seamaster 300 fake dial, hands, bezel, case,... caseback was probably so obviously a fake that it "got lost" (how can you loose a caseback?) the only genuine parts are the brand new caseback and the movement.. Highlighting the minefield I now find myself getting involved in! Thank you everyone, this is great knowledge...
Firstly, this thread is for listing known fakes, not for questions/enquiries, as indicated in the title of the thread. Secondly, a quick glance at the collection indicates to me that there are a number of "parts box watches" where various dials/cases/movements have been put together from whatever left over spares the Pommies left behind. As such their collectibility as military watches is, to be blunt, Zero. Should you wish to list one in a new thread for an assessment, then by all means do that, but I suspect that they will all be of the same style. They are OK if you aren't a serious military collector, and some collectors may buy one because of the dial/hands/case or movement, but much better photos would be needed.
