I am fairly new to the forum and I have had fun learning and reading as much as I can. I particularly enjoy this thread, but if I may make a suggestion it would be for people to, beside posting pictures of fakes or replicas, also to include why it is a fake or replica. To the more experienced people it may be obvious, but to us new people we don't always know what we are looking at and it would help us learn. Thank you.

Are you a masochist?

Sometimes google is your friend. For example if you google Omega Railmaster images you will get a WHOLE lot of pictures of various Railmasters. After a while you may notice not a single one is a chronograph like the fake that @X350 XJR posted. Being told that may or may not be as solid a learning experience. For me looking at a LOT of watches lets the knowledge slowly seep in. Some fakes are glaringly obvious, some like the "Railmaster" chronograph are more insidious.

Yes, this is completely fake, not just an over polished piece of shit, compare it to known genuine examples found on this forum if you can't tell from the photos.

And the hook?
The crystal clear shot of the caseback with the strange marking, but no mention in the sales blurb by the seller.
Seller wants watchers to think he doesn't know what he's selling.
Watchers furiously searching the interwebs until they see "Afganistan Air Force".
Wow! I hope no one else understands this marking < bids another £50.00>.

The sheer effort put into these fakes... not sure whether to laugh or cry
