I think this is just a redial with redone lume of two ages - note how the hands are a different colour to the lume plots on the dial.
Would anyone buy a watch with a dial like that, or would it in some way make it more desirable being different?
It's not a fake, and if you saw the engraving life size on the 15mm dia movement it would look completely normal.
Thanks for your input, but I dont think it would look much different to the pictures, its not stamped as it should be, its scratched in.
I think this is where you take the opportunity to learn from someone who is extremely knowledgeable. You have been a member since yesterday and all your posts have been on this thread. I don't mean to offend but where did you get your Omega knowledge?
Sorry you feel like that, to answer both of you in one go. I have a few pieces and have been into watches for some time, I wont go into my background but surfice to say I have a good eye. Just because im a new member doesnt mean Im a newboy to everything. Im learning everyday , and that is why I joined this sight to try and get some of the scum low lifes that deal in fakes out of the way. Your experience with these watches is more than likely better than mine, but I have never been burnt buying a fake,. Sorry everyone seems so uptight with the newboy. Cheers Smiffy
What movement do you think someone has used to try to pass off as genuine Omega by scratching the serial number etc. on?
I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft. pole. Could be real, though. I just don't know enough to say. The stupid looking redial would make me just move on. Glad you found the right place to post this. gatorcpa
Another one.... I am constantly surprised that the auctioneers cannot tell how bad these are. And bidding is up to about EUR850. http://www.lauritz.com/da/auktion/omega-seamaster-herrearmbaandsur/i4426267/
Yep, a complete disgrace. I have mailed Lauritz, as this behaviour is below even them... My guess is that that they are neglecting the issue and basically selling it for the gold content... Which is probably not that impressive
Thank you for your support enace, post: 555461, member: 9228"]No, but I don't go round shouting fake when I have no idea.[/QUOTE] You buy it then and let us know, cheers. Thank you Sir appr
It was actually cancelled by the auctioneers before it was hammered. Still can't believe that they listed it in the first place.
