Yes, I have an opinion.

What's yours?

I think the case dial and hands are bogus. I think bead blasting is a relatively new technology in case finishing - never seen it on a vintage watch. And this one is too clean. That's what I suspect.

Hi all, I'm new here. Just wondering if this is a genuine watch.

Is it worth getting?
Depends on how much it is and if you can get higher resolution photos.

Found this Seanaster 300 tonight in ebay classifieds Germany

https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s...itary-aus-den-60-er-jahren/442995756-156-8190

the seller claims to be absolutely sure, that he's offering an original. Which was testified by his watchmaker.

Feel free, to buy it for 2.900 Euro

Hi. Very new to the watch world.
Foolishly bought a omega calendar on e-bay without doing much homework.
Even though I got it, still have no idea if it's a replica or Frankenstein.
Ad Says "Original Professionally Restored Omega Black Dial."

Movement is correct for the reference, refinished dial not bad.

Wear it and enjoy.

More I look at that dial, it reminds me of a pair of curtains, praps it just me...or I need to take more water with it...

As a newcomer to the world of vintage Omegas, it would be helpful in the cases like this where it's not an obvious fake or looks like a 5 year old painted the dial, to know what details make it clearly a fake. Is it the lack of brickwork on the observatory or something else? Because I'd have fallen for this and I'm still not sure what I should be seeing. Thanks in advance.

Side by side comparison...

Notice the font types on dial, hands, date surround and overall quality of each watch. After looking at many original dials this will sink in.

To others: OP has started a new thread. This post can be ignored.

Good idea, Chris would be pissed if his watches started appearing in this thread.

What do you think, does this look real? I really like the clean lines and with less than 7" wrists, I think it could be a nice dress watch for me.

Thanks in advance.
You are concerned it is fake? This thread is to highlight fake vintage omegas. This one isn't. Suggest you delete your post, start a new thread, and include your views on the watch.

Been thinking about buying this for 500, can anyone tell me if it's fake or not? New to luxury watches, only previously owned seiko and festina.

Another photo for good measure, haven't seen in person so I don't know the movement.

I'm not sure about the hands, but everything else looks right. Can't see the crown but I bet it could be ok. Seems to be the correct style for this type of watch.
